TADAHIRO UESUGI
Tadahiro Uesugi is a great illustrator I found through Pascal Campion's website. I love his compositions, and his unique perspective he gives in his images. His style is fun and simple, and uses a lot of flat colors.
Pascal Campion is probably my new favorite illustrator. His simple style, and his colors and use of light is stunning. All of his illustrations are of him and his family, looking at his illustrations is like looking at a sort of diary into his life. I am channeling his style into my ipad 2 project for my image making 2 class, I cant wait to start it!

This fellow (at least I think hes a fellow...) uses a lovely muted palette for almost all of his designs that I really enjoy. Although I really love the concept and design of the man made of birds, my favorite is definetly the bottom image. I love the idea, and I think he executed it wonderfully. Also it reminds me of the song, Sea of Love by Cat Power which is just great.
Patricio Betteo is a Mexican illustrator I have just found and immediately fell for. His works are tradigital, he takes his drawings/paintings into photoshop and goes haywire with it. His results are lovely, fun, almost cubist works that are fun to look at. I also love his use of textures and colors in the second piece especially.
Looking at Rick Leong's paintings and drawings is like looking into a whimsical dream world of wonderfulness. Many of his paintings explore the use of a curved, often tangled line that captures you and further brings you in and around his pieces. The top tree piece is a particular favorite of mine because of its dream-like quality and how the colors seem to meld together.
Victo, short actually for Victoria, is a Chinese born artist that I really love. Her paintings are so whimsical and imaginative, and have this warmth to them I just really enjoy. Her compositions and perspectives are always playful and unique. Such an inspiration.
SAM WOLFE CONNELLY
This lovely owl piece is done by the illustrator, Jacqui Oakley, an artist i find particularly inspiring. Her intriguing use of line in this particular piece, especially the outlining around particular shapes is a technique I am just starting to delve into more in my own paintings. Although the owl subject is one that is becoming increasingly popular lately, this owl is unique in its style and its exquisite coloring! I love the circular juxtaposition behind and around the owl as well.
